Patna, July 10 – The Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise in Bihar has seen remarkable public participation, with 57.48% of voter enumeration forms collected within the first 15 days of the drive. This impressive progress is credited to the coordinated efforts of election officials, volunteers, and a committed network of 1.56 lakh Booth Level Agents (BLAs) appointed by all recognized political parties.
As of 6 PM yesterday, a total of 4,53,89,881 forms were collected, accounting for 57.48% of the total 7,89,69,844 (approximately 7.90 crore) registered voters in Bihar. These figures reflect a significant push following the Election Commission’s instructions issued on June 24, 2025. Notably, within the last 24 hours alone, 83,12,804 forms were collected representing a remarkable 10.52% of the total, all in a single day.
With just 42.5% of forms remaining to be collected and 16 days still left until the deadline of July 25, 2025, officials are optimistic that the entire enumeration drive could be completed well ahead of schedule.
According to Paragraph 3(d) of the Special Intensive Revision guidelines, existing voters including those who are temporarily migrated can download their pre-filled enumeration forms from the official website (https://voters.eci.gov.in) as per Section 20(1A) of the Representation of the People Act, 1950. Temporarily relocated voters can submit their signed forms via family members or any digital medium, including WhatsApp or similar apps, to their Booth Level Officers (BLOs) by the July 25 deadline to ensure inclusion in the draft electoral rolls.
In the first 15 days of the SIR process, 7.90 crore forms were printed, and approximately 98% (7.71 crore) have already been distributed to voters.
