Over 1,300 Gifts Received by PM Modi Go Under the Hammer in 7th E-Auction

New Delhi, September 17, 2025: More than 1,300 gifts presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, including an intricately crafted statue of Goddess Bhavani, a model of the Ayodhya Ram Temple, and sporting memorabilia from the 2024 Paralympic Games, have been put up for online auction.

The seventh edition of the e-auction began on Wednesday, coinciding with the Prime Minister’s 75th birthday, and will continue until October 2. According to updates on the PM Mementos website, the statue of Goddess Bhavani has been listed with a base price of ₹10.39 lakh, while the Ram Temple model is priced at ₹5.5 lakh. Three pairs of shoes belonging to Paralympic medallists, each with a base price of ₹7.7 lakh, are also among the most valued items.

The Ministry of Culture announced that an exhibition of the mementos is open at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Delhi, allowing visitors to view the collection from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. A short video clip showcasing the auction was also shared on X.

Other notable items in the collection include a finely embroidered Pashmina shawl from Jammu and Kashmir, a Tanjore painting of Ram Durbar, a metallic Nataraja statue, a Rogan art depiction of the Tree of Life from Gujarat, and a handwoven Naga shawl.

A highlight of this year’s edition is the memorabilia gifted by para-athletes who represented India at the 2024 Paris Paralympics. These tokens, the ministry said, symbolize resilience, excellence, and the indomitable spirit of India’s para-athletes.

The e-auction of the Prime Minister’s gifts was first introduced in 2019, and since then, thousands of items have been sold, raising over ₹50 crore to support the Namami Gange project, the government’s flagship initiative for rejuvenating and conserving the Ganga river.

Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh said the wide-ranging collection reflects India’s cultural diversity, showcasing traditional art, handicrafts, tribal artefacts, and ceremonial gifts of honour. As in previous editions, proceeds from this auction will be directed to the Namami Gange project.
