Toronto (Rajeev Sharma) : The Canada Hindu Chamber of Commerce (CHCC) successfully hosted a high-profile cross-border business exchange on June 1, 2026, welcoming a distinguished delegation from the Indo-American Business Chamber (IABC) at the Holiday Inn Toronto International Airport. The landmark gathering brought together more than 90 leading business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals, and community leaders to explore trade, investment, and strategic partnership opportunities between Canada and the United States.

The event underscored the growing importance of international business collaboration and economic integration across North America. Adding to the significance of the evening was the strong participation of women leaders from both the corporate and community sectors, reflecting the shared commitment of CHCC and IABC to diversity, inclusion, and leadership development.
The formal proceedings began with a warm welcome and networking session, followed by opening remarks from CHCC President Maharshit Jani. A major highlight of the evening was the presence of the Consul General of India in Toronto, who addressed the gathering and emphasized the vital role of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) in driving economic growth and innovation. The Consul General also spoke about the positive momentum generated by Indian Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal’s recent visit and highlighted the significant opportunities expected to emerge from the proposed Comprehensive Free Trade Agreement, which is anticipated to further strengthen economic cooperation between the nations.
Delivering the keynote address, IABC Chairman Dr. Ajai Misra shared his vision for enhanced cross-border collaboration, market expansion, and sustainable economic ecosystems built on shared values, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
