No Shortage of Medical Equipment in Government Hospitals, Says Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao

Chandigarh, October 23: Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao said that the state government is committed to ensuring quality healthcare for all and will not allow any shortage of medical equipment or machines in government hospitals and health institutions.

The minister said that new and modern medical equipment is being procured and supplied to institutions as per their requirements. Recently, new ultrasound machines have been dispatched to government hospitals in six districts — Panchkula, Narnaul, Panipat, Rewari, Sonipat, and Gurugram. After installation, ultrasound testing for patients will begin soon in these hospitals.

Rao informed that the Haryana Medical Services Corporation Limited (HMSCL) recently finalized the rates for the procurement of several essential medicines, medical devices, and machines. Based on these approved rates, the supply of equipment to different healthcare institutions across the state has already started.

She emphasized that the government’s objective is to provide every citizen of Haryana with quality, affordable, and accessible healthcare services. To achieve this, the health department is strengthening resources at all levels. The introduction of modern machines, she said, will make diagnostic procedures more accurate and faster, ensuring timely treatment for patients.

Minister Rao also added that the state government is continuously working to strengthen healthcare infrastructure. New machines will soon be provided to hospitals in other districts as well so that citizens in both rural and urban areas can access uniform and high-quality medical facilities.
