Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao announced on Thursday that the provincial government is continuing its concerted efforts to strengthen medical infrastructure across rural and remote regions of the state. As part of this ongoing commitment, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has granted in-principle approval for the establishment of two new health facilities in the Nuh and Mahendragarh districts. The move is designed to bridge the gap in medical accessibility and ensure that high-quality care is available to residents right at their doorstep.
According to the official announcement, a sub-health centre will be established in the village of Khori Kalan within Nuh district, while a primary health centre is slated for the village of Khatodra in Mahendragarh. Once operational, these centres are expected to provide timely medical services to thousands of people living in the surrounding areas. The minister emphasized that the strategic placement of these facilities will significantly reduce the need for rural populations to travel long distances to urban hubs for basic treatments and consultations.
The upcoming health centres will be equipped to provide a comprehensive suite of essential services, including maternal and child healthcare, routine immunization programmes, and treatment for general ailments. Furthermore, residents will have access to primary diagnostic screenings and a steady supply of essential medicines. Rao noted that the government’s priority is to create a robust network of local clinics that can handle primary health concerns efficiently, thereby easing the burden on larger tertiary hospitals.
Minister Aarti Singh Rao reiterated that the Haryana government is dedicated to the continuous development of hospitals and medical facilities to improve the overall quality of life for its citizens. By prioritizing the expansion of healthcare in rural sectors, the administration aims to foster a more resilient public health framework. The minister expressed confidence that the new centres in Nuh and Mahendragarh will provide much-needed relief to local communities and represent a significant step forward in the province’s health mission.
