Navjot Kaur Sidhu Slams Raja Warring Post-Suspension, Claims He’s Pleasing the CM

National Times Bureau :- Just hours after being suspended from the Punjab Congress for claiming that the party accepts “₹500 crore” from anyone seeking the Chief Minister’s post, former MLA Navjot Kaur Sidhu escalated her allegations against state party president Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, accusing him of weakening the organisation and appeasing the Chief Minister.

In a series of posts on X, Kaur alleged that Warring had “broken the Punjab Congress into pieces” and was “licking the feet of the CM” to avoid action in multiple cases. She claimed that matters related to the SC/ST Act, bus body corruption and a land dispute had already been forwarded to the PMO, the Punjab Governor and the Congress high command. She also questioned why Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann was “shielding” Warring.

Kaur further criticised Warring for the party’s performance in Tarn Taran, accusing him of damaging Congress’ prospects through “repeated irresponsible comments,” while senior leaders such as Pratap Singh Bajwa, Charanjit Singh Channi and others worked to strengthen the campaign. She also alleged that Warring and his team attempted to “destroy Navjot Sidhu,” despite him being Warring’s “mentor”.

The disciplinary action was initiated on Monday after her continued public attacks on X, where she termed Warring “morally dishonest and corrupt” and said she stood with workers “hurt by his incompetence.”

The controversy began when Kaur, responding to media queries on the party’s choice for Chief Ministerial candidate, remarked that they “did not have ₹500 crore to offer,” triggering sharp reactions within the state unit. The central leadership has confirmed her suspension but has not issued a detailed statement.
