NaMo Van Inaugurated in Rohtak on PM Modi’s Birthday, 10,000 Saplings Planted

Chandigarh, September 17 – Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda inaugurated NaMo Van in Rohtak’s Sector-2 on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The green initiative, developed using the Miyawaki method, began with a mass plantation drive. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, Cooperation Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma, Health Minister Kumari Aarti Singh Rao, and BJP state president Mohan Lal Badoli were present on the occasion.

Together with the Chief Minister and local residents, Nadda planted around 10,000 saplings and pledged commitment to environmental protection. The event saw active participation from women, children, youth, and the elderly.

Addressing the gathering, Nadda said Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a clean environment and healthy living is guiding the nation towards the goal of a Viksit Bharat. He urged people, especially women, to take an active role in protecting the environment by planting more trees and inspiring their families to become guardians of nature.

Women participants assured the Union Minister and the Chief Minister of their full support for the Prime Minister’s efforts to build a Swachh Bharat and Swasth Bharat. Nadda and Saini encouraged citizens, particularly women and children, for their enthusiastic involvement and stressed that a balanced environment is key to realizing the dream of a healthy society.

Several dignitaries including Rajya Sabha MP Ram Chandra Jangra, former minister Manish Grover, Rohtak Mayor Ram Avatar Balmiki, DG Information and Public Relations K. Makarand Pandurang, and Urban Local Bodies Director Pankaj were also present.
