Nagar Kirtan Honouring Guru Tegh Bahadur’s 350th Martyrdom Anniversary Reaches Lalru, Moves Ahead to Next Destination

Amritsar, November 26, 2025: A grand Nagar Kirtan dedicated to the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji, Bhai Sati Das Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji and Bhai Diala Ji reached Lalru on Tuesday as devotees gathered to offer a warm welcome. The procession had started from Gurdwara Guru Ke Mahal, Sri Amritsar, on November 22 under the banner of the Shiromani Sant Khalsa International Foundation, with its final congregation scheduled at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib on November 27.

The Nagar Kirtan halted overnight at Gurdwara Gursagar Sahib near Chandigarh. After the bhog ceremony of Sri Akhand Path Sahib and a devotional Kirtan Darbar held early this morning, the procession resumed its journey to the next stop. Various raagi jathas performed katha and kirtan before the yatra moved forward.

Sharing details, Bhai Jagjit Singh Chharbar said the Nagar Kirtan has been organised under the guidance of Foundation Chairman Sant Baba Pritpal Singh Ji (Sukhna Lake, Chandigarh) and led by Bhai Tejeshwar Pratap Singh and Mata Charan Kamal Kaur. He added that the concluding ceremony will take place at Gurdwara Rakab Ganj Sahib, where a Kirtan Darbar will be held at the Lakhi Shah Vanjara Hall on November 27.
