Multiple Schools in Delhi Targeted by Bomb Threats; DPS Dwarka Suspends Exams

Delhi (Rajeev Sharma): Several schools in Delhi were put on high alert early Saturday after receiving bomb threat calls, causing widespread concern among students, parents, and staff. The schools affected include Delhi Public School (DPS) Dwarka, Krishna Model Public School, and Sarvodaya Vidyalaya.

In response to the threats, police and bomb disposal squads were promptly deployed to the locations. Authorities evacuated everyone from the premises and conducted thorough searches. No explosives or suspicious materials were detected.

Due to the disruption, DPS Dwarka decided to cancel the mid-term exams scheduled for classes 3 through 12 for the day. The school issued a notification asking parents to be present at bus stops to pick up their children or to collect them directly from school if they arrived independently.

The official notice from DPS Dwarka stated:
“The school will remain closed on Saturday, September 20, 2025, due to security concerns. All school transport is being sent back, and parents are requested to ensure timely pickup of their wards. The mid-term exams planned for today have been postponed, and new dates will be announced soon.”

Authorities are actively investigating the source of these bomb threats. Meanwhile, security across schools in the city has been tightened to ensure the safety of students and staff.

Parents are urged to stay alert and cooperate with school and law enforcement officials during this period.
