More Arrested in Ferozepur Tattoo Shop Shootout Case During Police-CI Encounter

Ferozepur (National Times): In a major breakthrough in the Ferozepur tattoo shop shootout case, police and counter-intelligence (CI) officials arrested three more accused during an encounter on Friday night. The accused were identified as Gurjinder alias Ghoda, Amarjit Singh, and Sonu.

The joint operation unfolded at a naka near Ratta Khera village, where the police team intercepted the suspects while tracking their movements. According to DIG Harmanbir Gill, the accused opened fire on the police team during the chase, prompting retaliation. All three suspects sustained injuries during the exchange and were subsequently taken into custody.

Four weapons were seized from the accused, along with a white scooter and a motorcycle reportedly used in the incident. The police are now intensifying their investigation to locate the remaining members of the group involved in the deadly shootout.

The incident, which occurred in broad daylight on Thursday, left Ashu Monga dead. The shooting was reportedly the result of internal rivalry between two gangs. Police sources indicate that Monga had actually come to attack three individuals, Yuvraj, Amrik Singh, and Shivam Sehgal, but was fatally shot during the crossfire.

With these new arrests, a total of five accused have now been apprehended in connection with the incident.
