Monsoon Havoc: PM Modi Praises Rescue Efforts, Urges Unity in 125th ‘Mann Ki Baat’

New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during the 125th episode of his monthly radio program ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ expressed deep grief over the large-scale devastation caused by relentless monsoon rains across India. Acknowledging the heavy toll of floods and landslides, he said the suffering of families and communities saddened every Indian.

“This monsoon season has brought severe challenges,” Modi remarked. “Floodwaters have destroyed homes, farmlands, bridges, and roads, putting countless lives at risk. Our prayers are with the families who lost their loved ones.”

The Prime Minister highlighted the swift response of the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), State Disaster Response Forces (SDRF), and other security agencies engaged in rescue and relief operations. He noted that advanced tools such as drones, thermal cameras, live detectors, and sniffer dogs were deployed to strengthen missions.

“From airlifting the injured to supplying essentials in remote areas, our dedicated teams worked tirelessly. The armed forces too played a crucial role in saving lives,” Modi said.

He further praised the contribution of local communities, social workers, healthcare professionals, and administrative staff who extended support. “In these difficult times, citizens displayed exemplary humanity and solidarity. I thank everyone who came forward to help,” he added.

Through the broadcast, Modi emphasized the importance of collective resolve in the face of natural calamities and reaffirmed the government’s commitment to recovery and rehabilitation efforts across affected regions.
