Mohali, February 28, 2025 – In a significant show of gratitude, representatives from the Motor Market and Rehri Market in Mohali met with MLA Kulwant Singh today to thank him for addressing their long-standing issues. The meeting took place at the AAP office in Sector 79, where market leaders acknowledged that no political leader in the past 40 years had genuinely supported their cause.

The delegation included Fauja Singh (President, Phase-1 Motor Market), Karam Chand (President, Phase-7 Motor Market), and Ram Gopal Bansal (President, Phase-7 Rehri Market). Speaking to the media, they highlighted that for decades, successive governments ignored their demands.
“We have repeatedly approached political leaders, MLAs, and ministers with petitions to resolve market issues, but all we got were empty promises. Every election season, politicians would assure us of solutions, but nothing ever changed. However, MLA Kulwant Singh raised our issues in the Vidhan Sabha and took concrete steps to address them,” they said.

The representatives praised Kulwant Singh’s commitment to resolving their concerns and expressed hope that his intervention would bring real change. They described his support as a turning point for their communities, which had struggled for years with municipal challenges.
During the meeting, several other dignitaries and senior leaders from the AAP party and the market associations were also present.
