Mohali: Man Kills Friend Over ₹5,000 Dispute, Attempts to Burn the Body; Crime Unfolds in New Sunny Enclave

National Times Bureau :- A shocking incident has surfaced from New Sunny Enclave, Sector-123, Mohali, where a man allegedly murdered his close friend following a dispute over ₹5,000. According to initial information, the accused called his friend to a secluded spot late in the evening. The argument over the pending amount escalated, and in a fit of rage, the accused attacked and killed him on the spot.

In an attempt to hide the crime, the accused reportedly tried to burn the body to destroy evidence. However, the smoke and suspicious activity drew the attention of nearby residents, prompting them to alert the police. A police team reached the location immediately and recovered the partially burnt body.

The accused attempted to flee but was later taken into custody. Police officials say the murder stemmed from a financial dispute that had been brewing between the two for days. The body has been sent for post-mortem, and further investigation is underway to establish the exact sequence of events and whether anyone else was involved.

The incident has stunned the residents of the area, raising concerns about rising cases of violent crime triggered by minor disputes.
