Chandigarh, March 18 – Haryana’s Irrigation and Water Resources Minister Shruti Choudhary visited the HVPN Power Training Institute in Panchkula to review the preparations for an exhibition being organized by the Irrigation Department. The exhibition will feature artworks prepared by the Art and Culture Department, focused on the Jal Shakti Abhiyan (Water Power Campaign). These artworks will be displayed at a national-level program to be held at Tau Devi Lal Stadium in Panchkula on March 22. The event was attended by Additional Chief Secretary of the Irrigation Department Anurag Aggarwal and HWRA Chairperson Keshni Anand Arora.
Shruti Choudhary praised the artworks being prepared by the department. She stated that several dignitaries, including Union ministers, will attend the program dedicated to the Jal Shakti Abhiyan. She also issued necessary instructions to the department officials to ensure the smooth execution of the event.
The Cabinet Minister announced that the sixth edition of the Jal Shakti Abhiyan – “Catch the Rain” – will be launched from Panchkula on March 22. Union Jal Shakti Minister C.R. Patil and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini will be the chief guests at the event. The program will also encourage the participation of progressive farmers, women, and individuals who have made significant contributions to water conservation. The primary objective of this campaign is to promote water conservation and raise awareness about sustainable water management practices.
