Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO’s Convoy Meets with Accident, Four Policemen Injured

Convoy of Punjab Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO Involved in Road Accident; 5 Injured in Gurdaspur

National Times Bureau :- A vehicle in the convoy of Punjab Cabinet Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO met with an accident near Kalanaur on Tuesday morning, leaving four police personnel injured. The incident occurred when the pilot vehicle of the convoy reportedly collided with another car coming from the wrong side.

According to eyewitnesses, the minister was en route from Gurdaspur to Dera Baba Nanak after distributing compensation cheques to flood-affected farmers in villages under the Dinanagar and Khokhar areas. The accident took place shortly after the convoy crossed Kalanaur.

Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO and Deputy Commissioner Dalwinderjit Singh immediately stopped their vehicles and helped rescue the injured policemen. The victims were promptly shifted to a nearby hospital in an ambulance, where they are said to be out of danger.

Police have launched an inquiry into the incident and are examining how the other vehicle entered the wrong lane.
