Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Minister of State for Youth and Entrepreneurship, Gaurav Gautam, honored five government Industrial Training Institutes from the state for achieving top ranks in the national grading system. The felicitation took place during a state-level ceremony held at the Haryana Kaushal Rozgar Nigam auditorium in Panchkula to mark World Youth Skills Day. Highlighting the state’s progress in technical education, the minister emphasized that these top-tier rankings reflect Haryana’s strengthening vocational training infrastructure.
Addressing the gathering, the state minister extended his wishes on World Youth Skills Day and announced that under the PM Setu Yojana, the department aims to skill 20,000 youth in collaboration with leading industrial corporations. This initiative is designed to train young professionals in modern, industry-demand skills to secure direct, respectable employment opportunities. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the state government remains deeply committed to advancing skill development and creating sustainable employment avenues for the youth.
The five government ITIs recognized for their national-level excellence include Government ITI Bodia Khera (Fatehabad), which secured the 5th position nationally; Government ITI Barwala (Hisar) at 6th place; Government ITI Kaithal at 7th; Government ITI Pehowa at 8th; and the Government Women ITI Sirsa, which claimed the 9th spot. The minister congratulated the institutes for bringing national recognition to Haryana’s educational framework.
During the event, the minister also unveiled the department’s informative magazine, “Yuva Samvad.” To strengthen administrative and training standards across the state, he distributed appointment letters to 60 newly selected ITI principals, urging them to work with dedication to elevate the quality of vocational training. In an era increasingly driven by artificial intelligence and specialized technical applications, Gautam noted that skills have become more valuable than degrees, serving as the foundation for a self-reliant India where the government aims to provide hands-on skills to every youth.
