Vikarabad (Telangana), November 2 — A horrific tragedy unfolded in Kulcharla village of Vikarabad district, where a man allegedly killed his wife, daughter, and sister-in-law with a sickle before taking his own life, police said on Sunday.
The accused, identified as Yadaiah, reportedly attacked his family members on Saturday night. Another daughter, who managed to escape during the assault, survived and is now safe, officials confirmed.
According to police, Yadaiah died by suicide by hanging himself at his home after committing the murders. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to ascertain the motive behind the killings.
“We received a dial 100 call about the matter,” a police official said. “Yadaiah killed his wife, daughter, and sister-in-law with a sickle and later took his own life. He also tried to attack his other daughter, but she escaped. The bodies have been shifted for post-mortem examination.”
Authorities have begun further investigation into the case to determine what led to the gruesome act.
