National Times Bureau :- In a significant administrative reshuffle aimed at strengthening law enforcement at the grassroots level, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Bhupinder Singh Sidhu has ordered the transfer of nine Station House Officers (SHOs) across various police stations in Ferozepur district.
According to the official notification, Inspector Jaswinder Singh, SHO Guruharsahai, has been posted as SHO Sadar Zira, while Inspector Gurmeet Singh, SHO Kulgarhi, has been transferred as SHO City Zira. Sub-Inspector Baljinder Singh, previously SHO Sadar Zira, will now take charge as SHO Kulgarhi. Sub-Inspector (Local) Baljinder Singh, earlier posted at City Zira, has been appointed SHO Guruharsahai. Gurpreet Singh, SHO Ghall Khurd, will now serve as SHO Mamdot.
In other key changes, Inspector Balraj Singh, who was handling dual responsibilities at Talwandi Bhai and the Cyber Crime unit, has been appointed as Incharge of the Cyber Crime Police Station, Ferozepur. Inspector (Local) Gurwinder Singh, SHO Mamdot, has been transferred to Sadar Ferozepur. Sub-Inspector Davinder Singh, who was serving as Additional SHO at Guruharsahai, has been promoted as SHO Talwandi Bhai. Meanwhile, Sub-Inspector Tarsem Sharma, Additional SHO Sadar Ferozepur, has been posted as SHO Ghall Khurd.
Sources within the police department stated that the transfers are part of a broader strategy to boost efficiency, enhance field operations, and ensure better service delivery at the police station level. The new postings are expected to bring renewed energy and accountability to the respective jurisdictions.
