Major Overhaul in Haryana’s Power, Transport, and Labor Sectors – Anil Vij

Chandigarh, March 4 – Haryana’s Minister for Power, Transport, and Labor, Anil Vij, announced major infrastructure upgrades in the state’s power sector. He stated that an 800 MW power plant has been approved for Yamunanagar to strengthen the state’s electricity supply. Additionally, old and low-capacity power lines will be replaced to ensure a more efficient power distribution system.

Speaking about the transport sector, Vij mentioned that aging buses will be replaced, and bus terminals will be modernized. He also revealed that driving schools will be established in every district. To enhance vehicle maintenance, he has instructed officials to set up automatic vehicle washing and fitness-checking systems across all districts.

In the labor sector, Vij announced the establishment of air-conditioned hospitals in every district to provide better healthcare facilities for workers.

Vij addressed the media after attending a pre-budget consultation meeting in Panchkula. Responding to questions, he emphasized that suggestions from MLAs during such consultations are carefully considered while formulating the budget.
