Majithia’s Bail Verdict Deferred Again, Next Hearing Scheduled for August 7

Mohali — Shiromani Akali Dal leader Bikram Singh Majithia, currently in jail over a disproportionate assets case, will remain behind bars for now as a Mohali court on Tuesday postponed its ruling on his bail plea.

This marks the sixth time Majithia has approached the court seeking bail, but once again, no immediate relief was granted. The court has listed the matter for further hearing on Wednesday, August 7, when a decision is expected.

Majithia, a prominent political figure in Punjab, has been in judicial custody for several months. Alongside his bail plea, he has also filed a request for a change of barrack in jail. That application will be taken up separately on August 12.

As legal proceedings continue, Majithia’s legal team remains hopeful for a positive outcome, while opposition voices keep a close watch on the politically sensitive case.
