Majithia Accuses Amritpal Singh, Waris Punjab De of Plotting Political Killings, Demands Arrests and NIA Probe

Chandigarh, April 21, 2025 — Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Bikram Singh Majithia has alleged a grave conspiracy involving members of the Waris Punjab De party and MP Amritpal Singh, accusing them of planning political assassinations, including a plot targeting the Union Home Minister. He demanded the immediate arrest of all individuals linked to a WhatsApp group where these plots were allegedly discussed.

In a sensational press conference, Majithia played audio clips of Amritpal Singh purportedly admitting to criminal activities, including dacoities, ties with gangster Jaipal Bhullar, and knowing the whereabouts of looted gold and money. He claimed these revelations exposed Amritpal’s double life and links with organized crime.

Majithia questioned the silence of Punjab Police and Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, accusing them of inaction despite allegedly having access to evidence. “Are they waiting for someone to die?” he asked, suggesting that the law enforcement machinery had been politicized.

The SAD leader called for a National Investigation Agency (NIA) probe, expressing his distrust in the state police. He said he would submit all evidence to the central government, as he believes Punjab Police cannot be relied upon to investigate Amritpal Singh impartially.

Majithia also released WhatsApp messages from a group called “Akali Dal Waris Punjab De Team Moga,” in which members spoke about becoming martyrs and discussed political killings of leaders such as Amit Shah, Ravneet Bittu, and Majithia himself. One of the audio clips allegedly features a woman inciting members to become suicide bombers.

He further claimed that Amritpal Singh had been in touch with gangsters Arsh Dalla, Happy Passia, and Harwinder Rinda, and was using a mobile phone from inside Dibrugarh jail. He also accused Amritpal and his family of past support for the Congress, alleging they voted against Panthic candidates in 2019.

“This is not about personal rivalry. This is about the peace and communal harmony of Punjab,” Majithia said, adding that he would not be silenced by threats.
