Ludhiana (Gurpreet Singh): Punjabi music star Karan Aujla has called off his scheduled performances in Ludhiana and Lucknow, marking an unexpected change in his ongoing “P-Pop Culture India Tour.”
The two shows, slated for April 10 and April 12, have been cancelled, with ticketing platform District informing fans that “logistical challenges” led to the decision. Refunds for ticket holders are expected to be processed within a week.
Although the singer has not publicly addressed the cancellations, reports indicate multiple hurdles in Lucknow, including issues related to venue availability, licensing permissions and concerns over financial viability due to premium ticket pricing.
The development comes shortly after criticism surrounding Aujla’s recent concert in Mumbai, where attendees reported overcrowding, excessive heat and several cases of people fainting during the event. In response, the singer has announced a follow-up show titled “Mumbai 2.0,” scheduled for April 12, aimed at addressing the concerns raised by fans.
Despite the disruption, the tour continues, with the next performance set to take place in Jaipur on April 5.
The sudden cancellations have disappointed fans in Punjab and Uttar Pradesh, though organisers have assured a smooth refund process and hinted at possible rescheduling in the future.
