Kapil Sharma’s Surrey Café Attacked Again, Lawrence Bishnoi Gang Issues Fresh Threat

Surrey (Rajeev Sharma): Indian comedian and entertainment icon Kapil Sharma’s café in Surrey, Canada, came under fire for the second time in less than a month, sparking serious security concerns. On Thursday morning, unknown assailants fired multiple rounds at Kap’s Cafe, located at 85 Avenue and Scott Road, leaving at least six bullet holes and shattered windows in their wake.

Local resident Bob Singh, speaking to 1130 NewsRadio, recounted the moment he heard the gunshots. “I saw it from my patio. I heard five or six shots and then the cops arrived,” he said.

The Surrey Police responded swiftly and have launched an investigation. Officials are currently reviewing CCTV footage to identify those involved in the attack. However, specific details about the suspects remain unknown at this stage.

Shortly after the incident, a chilling development emerged: a social media post allegedly from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang claimed responsibility for the firing. The post, shared under the name of Goldie Dhillon, warned Kapil Sharma that the next attack would not be in Canada, but in Mumbai. The post read, “We called him, but he did not hear the ring, so action had to be taken there now, if he does not hear the ring, then the next action will be taken in Mumbai.”

The Mumbai Police have been alerted and are verifying the authenticity of the threat.

This marks the second attack on Kap’s Cafe in recent weeks. In July, the café was similarly targeted. At that time, Harjit Singh Laddi, a Babbar Khalsa International (BKI) operative and one of India’s most wanted terrorists, claimed responsibility. He alleged the act was a reaction to remarks made by Sharma on his television show that were perceived as offensive to Nihang Sikhs.

Authorities are now probing potential connections between the two incidents, particularly whether both are part of a coordinated campaign by extremist groups targeting Sharma for his public statements.

Further updates are awaited as both Surrey and Mumbai police continue their investigations.
