Joining Process for 7,500 Group-D Posts in Haryana to Begin Soon: CM Nayab Singh Saini

Chandigarh, June 26 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini announced that nearly 7,500 Group-D posts in the state government will soon see the joining process initiated. He made this statement while addressing a press conference called to share key decisions from the recent cabinet meeting.

Responding to a question on the Common Eligibility Test (CET), the Chief Minister revealed that approximately 13.48 lakh candidates have registered for the CET this year—an increase from around 11 lakh last year. He acknowledged technical difficulties caused by heavy server load on the SARAL portal but stated that over 3 lakh candidates from BC-A and BC-B categories, as well as 3 lakh candidates from Scheduled Castes, successfully downloaded their caste certificates to complete their registration.

Importantly, CM Saini clarified that candidates who were unable to upload their caste certificates in time would still be allowed to sit for the exam. The necessary documentation can be submitted later alongside the ongoing process.

He further stated that all departments have been directed to rationalize their posts based on current needs and send revised requisitions to the Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC). This will involve removing outdated positions and creating new ones relevant to modern-day requirements.

Addressing questions about the ongoing student strike at Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar, the Chief Minister appealed to students not to be misled by political parties. He urged them to focus on their studies and reassured them of the government’s support for their bright future.

On the matter of public safety, CM Saini reiterated that ensuring a secure environment for every citizen remains a top priority of the government. He praised the police department for its proactive functioning and stated that no negligence will be tolerated.

Also present at the press conference were K.M. Pandurang, Director General of the Department of Information, Public Relations and Languages, and Praveen Atreya, Media Secretary to the Chief Minister.
