J&K – Four Killed, Five Injured in Late-Night Collision in Budgam

National Times Bureau :- A tragic road accident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district late Saturday night claimed four lives and left five others critically injured. The crash occurred around 10:30 PM in the Paler area when a Tata Sumo SUV and a dumper truck collided head-on.

According to officials, both vehicles were travelling at high speed when they approached a curve near Paler, leading to a violent impact that left the SUV and truck severely damaged. Local residents rushed to the spot and alerted the police and ambulance services.

A police team arrived promptly and shifted all nine occupants to a nearby hospital, where doctors declared four of them dead on arrival. The remaining five injured individuals are undergoing treatment, with some reported to be in serious condition.

Authorities have begun the process of identifying the deceased and informing their families. An investigation has been initiated to determine the exact cause of the collision.
