Calgary (Rajeev Sharma): The Ambe Society of Calgary successfully hosted a spiritually uplifting Jagran Ki Raat in Northeast Calgary, drawing a large crowd of devoted attendees despite inclement weather. The event was filled with devotion, cultural expression, and strong community engagement.

Organizers Ricky Narula and Rajnish Singla, representing the Ambe Society, proudly announced the awarding of scholarships to four deserving students: Jigar Kanjani, Shrisha Gupta, Harsh Chugh, and Robin Sandhu. Each student received $1,500, made possible through generous public donations, sponsorships, and the unwavering community support surrounding this annual event.

The evening commenced with a traditional Pooja, followed by devotional performances from local singer Aditi Patil , ISKCON Calgary Team and other devine Singers. A visually stunning and spiritually rich performance of Goddess Durga’s battle with Mahishasur was presented by Ishita Singla and her team from Madhuban Arts, earning widespread admiration from the audience.

The highlight of the night was a deeply moving and energetic performance by renowned devotional singer Mani Ladla, whose bhajans captivated thousands of attendees and brought the atmosphere to life with divine energy. Everyone in attendance enjoyed prasad (blessed food), adding a touch of warmth and hospitality to the evening.

Mandeep Duggal from Protax Block extended his congratulations to the Ambe Society team, commending their efforts and the scholarship initiative, which he said beautifully combined spirituality with educational empowerment.

Community leaders and dignitaries, including Happy Mann, Jatinder Tatla (who presented Alberta Premier’s greeting message), MP Dalwinder Gill, MLA Parmeet Boparai, Amrit Hayer, Minesh Patel, Atul Chauhan, Rishi Nagar, Vivek Mahajan, Devinder Toor, the National Times team, and several other distinguished personalities, applauded the Ambe Society’s dedication and seamless execution.

They praised the event as a symbol of community unity, cultural pride, and spiritual devotion.
