Internet Services Suspended in Faridkot Amid Rising Indo-Pak Tensions

Faridkot, May 9 – In response to growing tensions between India and Pakistan, internet services have been suspended across Faridkot district as a precautionary measure. The order was issued by the Deputy Commissioner of Faridkot in an effort to maintain law and order and prevent the spread of misinformation during this sensitive period.

The district administration has emphasized that this step was necessary to ensure public safety and urged citizens to remain calm and cooperative. Authorities have also warned against sharing unverified information on social media, asking the public to follow only official updates.

In light of the situation, all schools, colleges, and universities in the state have been ordered to shut down for three days. Punjab University, Chandigarh, has also postponed examinations scheduled for May 9, 10, and 12.
