IndiGo Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Nagpur After Bomb Threat; All Passengers Safe

Nagpur (National Times): An IndiGo flight en route from Muscat to Delhi via Kochi made an emergency landing at Nagpur airport on Tuesday morning after a bomb threat was received mid-air, prompting immediate security protocols.

Flight 6E 2706, carrying passengers from Muscat, was diverted to Nagpur after the airline received a bomb threat, triggering a full emergency response. The aircraft landed safely and was swiftly moved to an isolated bay for security inspection.

“All passengers have been safely deboarded, and standard bomb threat protocols are being followed. As of now, nothing suspicious has been found,” said Lohit Matani, DCP Nagpur, while addressing the media.

Security forces, including bomb disposal squads and airport police, are currently conducting a thorough inspection of the aircraft and passenger baggage. The passengers have been taken to a secure location within the terminal while the investigation continues.

Authorities have not confirmed the source of the threat, but said that all angles are being investigated. Flights at Nagpur airport have resumed normal operations, though with heightened security.

This incident follows a string of recent global aviation threats, putting Indian airports on high alert. IndiGo has yet to issue an official statement regarding rescheduling or compensation for affected passengers.
