Indian Railways to Phase Out UTS Mobile App from March 1, Introduces RailOne as Unified Platform

New Delhi, February 10: Indian Railways has announced that the UTS on Mobile application, commonly used for booking unreserved and suburban train tickets, will be discontinued from March 1, 2026. After this date, passengers will no longer be able to book tickets or access any services through the UTS app.

Railway authorities have advised commuters to shift to the RailOne application well in advance to avoid inconvenience. RailOne has been launched as a comprehensive digital platform that integrates multiple railway services into a single application, replacing several existing apps.

A large number of daily passengers rely on mobile ticketing, particularly for short-distance and local train travel. Officials said the move is part of Indian Railways’ broader digital modernisation strategy aimed at improving user experience and operational efficiency. RailOne is expected to offer faster performance, better reliability and easier navigation compared to older platforms.

The decision to withdraw the UTS app is linked to the Railways’ plan to streamline its digital ecosystem. Officials noted that operating multiple applications often leads to confusion among users and increases technical and administrative challenges. RailOne has been developed to bring essential passenger services onto one unified interface.

Through RailOne, users can book unreserved tickets, check reserved journey details, plan trips and access various other railway-related services using a single login. The integrated system is expected to reduce dependency on multiple apps and make digital services more accessible to passengers.

According to the official notification, the UTS on Mobile app will stop functioning entirely from March 1, 2026. Passengers, especially regular commuters, have been encouraged to make the switch early to avoid last-minute disruptions.

The RailOne application is available for download on both Android and iOS platforms. Users can install it from the Google Play Store or the Apple App Store and register using their mobile number to start using the services.
