Calgary (Rajeev Sharma): In a remarkable display of unity and cultural pride, all major Indian associations in Calgary have come together to participate collectively in the 2025 Calgary Stampede Parade, scheduled to take place on July 4th.
This year, a contingent of 85 participants, representing the heritage and culture of different states of India and all Indian associations from across the city, will showcase the vibrant traditions of all Indian states, featuring traditional attire, music, regional dance forms, and folk elements. The group’s colorful and diverse cultural performance will embody the message of “Unity in Diversity.” This collaborative effort marks a historic milestone for the Indian diaspora in Calgary, reflecting their deepening engagement with the city’s cultural and civic life. As one of Canada’s most iconic and widely attended events, the Calgary Stampede Parade provides a significant platform for multicultural communities to celebrate and share their heritage. The Indian community’s participation in the 2025 parade is expected to draw attention and admiration from attendees across the province and beyond.
In advance of the event, the organizing team of Indian associations participated in an exclusive interview with National Times Media Group, where they shared insights about the planning process, the spirit of collaboration, and the cultural significance of their participation. It’s the effort as “a shining example of community harmony and cultural pride.”
The Team also appealed to all Indians in Calgary to VOTE for the best float, as last year they awarded the best float.
