Chandigarh (National Times): In a heartening move aimed at uplifting and empowering the next generation, the Golden Arrow Division of the Indian Army has taken full responsibility for the education and overall development of young Shawan Singh, fondly referred to as a “little warrior” for his remarkable courage during Operation Sindoor.

Recognizing his indomitable spirit and unwavering resolve, the Army has announced that it will fund Shawan’s education in its entirety, ensuring that no financial obstacle stands in the way of his growth or dreams.

A special event was held at Ferozepur Cantonment, where Western Command’s General Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Lieutenant General Manoj Kumar Katiyar, personally honoured Master Shawan. The ceremony symbolized more than just an award; it underscored the Indian Army’s enduring relationship with the people of Punjab and its genuine investment in the nation’s future.

This initiative goes beyond defence—it is about nation-building. The Army, through this act of kindness, has once again illustrated that its mission includes nurturing future generations, not just guarding borders.

Shawan’s journey resonates with many; his bravery serves as a beacon of inspiration. With the backing of the Indian Army, his path forward will now be paved with comprehensive educational support. Everything from school admissions to academic resources will be covered by the Army, ensuring he has the tools and opportunities he needs to thrive.

Lt. Gen. Katiyar reaffirmed the Army’s commitment to standing by Shawan as he carves out his future, emphasizing that this effort reflects a broader dedication to public welfare. This heartfelt gesture serves as a powerful reminder of the Army’s role not just as defenders of the nation but as guardians of hope and humanity.

The support extended to Shawan Singh stands as a shining example of how institutions can positively shape lives when compassion is paired with responsibility.
