New Delhi, May 11, 2025 — The Indian Air Force has categorically denied claims made by Pakistan and Chinese state media that an Indian S-400 air defence system was destroyed in Adampur by hypersonic missiles fired from JF-17 fighter jets.
“These reports are false and baseless,” an official spokesperson of the Indian Air Force stated on Saturday, responding to assertions by Pakistan’s PTV and China’s Global Times, which cited the Xinhua news agency.
India has confirmed that no S-400 systems were damaged, and presented recent satellite images of the Adampur base to back its statement. The military reiterated that all major defence assets, including air defence systems, remain fully operational and intact.
