Dubai, September 24, 2025: Team India secured a place in the Asia Cup final after defeating Bangladesh by 41 runs in a Super-4 clash at the Dubai International Stadium on Wednesday. Chasing a target of 169 runs, the Bangladeshi side was bowled out for 127 in 19.2 overs. Opener Saif Hasan top-scored with 69 runs, while nine other batsmen failed to reach double digits.
Kuldeep Yadav led India’s bowling attack, claiming three wickets. Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy chipped in with two wickets each, while Axar Patel took one.
Earlier, after losing the toss, India batted first and posted 168 for six in their 20 overs. Abhishek Sharma played a spectacular innings of 75 runs off 37 balls, including six boundaries and six sixes. Hardik Pandya contributed 38 runs, and Shubman Gill added 29. From the Bangladeshi bowling side, Rishad Hossain took two wickets, and Mustafizur Rahman claimed one.
A notable milestone in the match was Mustafizur Rahman completing 150 T20 International wickets in 117 matches, surpassing Shakib Al Hasan (149 wickets) to become Bangladesh’s top wicket-taker in the format.
India will now face the winner of the remaining Super-4 encounter in the Asia Cup final, aiming to continue their dominant run in the tournament.
