India Beat Pakistan by 7 Wickets in Asia Cup Clash

Dubai, September 14, 2025:India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in the sixth match of the Asia Cup. Chasing a target of 128 runs, the team reached the mark in the 16th over, losing just three wickets. Earlier, Pakistan won the toss at the Dubai International Stadium and opted to bat, managing only 127 runs for nine wickets.

After the match, Indian players did not shake hands with their Pakistani counterparts. Earlier, at the toss, Indian skipper Suryakumar Yadav had also avoided a handshake with Pakistan captain Salman Ali Agha.

In this Group A contest, Indian bowlers applied pressure right from the powerplay, leaving Pakistan’s batting lineup struggling throughout. Apart from Sahibzada Farhan (40) and Shaheen Afridi (33), no batter could make a significant contribution. Kuldeep Yadav claimed three wickets, while Jasprit Bumrah and Axar Patel picked up two each. Hardik Pandya and Varun Chakaravarthy chipped in with one wicket apiece.

For India, openers Abhishek Sharma and Tilak Varma both scored 31 runs each, while captain Suryakumar Yadav remained unbeaten on 47. A crucial 56-run partnership between Suryakumar and Tilak for the third wicket ensured India’s comfortable victory. For Pakistan, Saim Ayub took all three wickets.

With this win, India remained at the top of the points table, strengthening their chances of reaching the Super 4 stage. Pakistan, meanwhile, must win their final match against the UAE to stay in contention for the next round.
