Hyderabad (Gurpreet Singh) – A 16-year-old girl was allegedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted by three individuals, including two minors, in the Chengicherla area. The victim was reportedly intimidated with a knife and forced to consume alcohol before the assault took place on the night of February 16.
The case came to light after the girl’s mother filed a missing person’s report at the Narsingi Police Station on February 17, noting that her daughter had not returned home from school. Following a swift investigation, police traced and rescued the teenager on February 18.
The Incident and Modus Operandi
Investigations revealed that the girl had met a 16-year-old boy while shopping in the Charminar area on February 7. After staying in touch via phone, they met again on February 16. That night, the boy and two of his associates—one an adult and another minor—allegedly took the girl in an auto-rickshaw to a residence in Chengicherla.
At the house, the suspects reportedly:
- Used Weapons: Threatened the victim with a knife to suppress resistance.
- Forced Intoxication: Coerced the girl into drinking alcohol.
- Assault: Subjected her to both physical and sexual violence.
Criminal Background and Arrests
Police have apprehended two of the three suspects. One of the arrested individuals is a habitual offender with a criminal “suspect sheet” and a history of involvement in eight previous cases, including robbery and theft across various jurisdictions. The 16-year-old boy who originally befriended the victim has also been detained.
A third suspect, also a minor, remains at large. Law enforcement agencies have formed special teams to track down the absconding individual. The victim is currently receiving medical care and counseling as the investigation continues.
