Amritsar (National Times): A human skull without a torso, discovered on the roof of a Bolero car parked in poor condition at the taxi stand near Durgiana Temple, has caused widespread sensation and fear in the area.
The incident, reported under the jurisdiction of Thana D Division, prompted an immediate response from the police, who took the skull into custody and sent it to the mortuary. A police team has launched an investigation under the supervision of senior officials.
All police stations under the District Police Commissionerate have been alerted to report any unidentified headless bodies, which could help identify the deceased.
According to sources, the skull has some black and white hair, suggesting the incident may not be very old. The police are gathering information from all angles, and the skull has been kept in the mortuary for 72 hours for identification purposes.
