Hisar Airport Receives License for Operations

Chandigarh, March 15 – The Hisar Airport project has taken a major step forward with the Airport Authority of India (AAI) granting an operational license. Haryana’s Civil Aviation Minister Vipul Goel expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini for making this achievement possible. He announced that flight services from Hisar would begin soon, marking a significant milestone for the state’s aviation sector.

Hisar to Connect with Five Cities in the First Phase

Minister Goel stated that in the initial phase, flights from Hisar will connect to Ayodhya, Jammu, Jaipur, Delhi, and Ahmedabad. The Airport Authority of India (AAI) will manage and maintain the airport’s operations.

₹503 Crore Modern Terminal Under Construction

The state government is constructing a modern passenger terminal at a cost of ₹503 crore. The terminal will offer world-class facilities to ensure a comfortable and efficient travel experience for passengers. Haryana Police has been tasked with securing the airport to ensure a safe travel environment.

Night Flight Services in the Pipeline

Goel revealed that the state government has started the process to obtain approval for night landing at Hisar Airport. This will provide more convenience for passengers and enhance the airport’s overall functionality. AAI is also setting up a project office at the airport to accelerate operational readiness.

Boost to Haryana’s Economic Growth

The operationalization of Hisar Airport is expected to enhance Haryana’s air connectivity and stimulate industrial and economic growth. The airport is poised to boost trade, tourism, and investment in the region.

Minister Goel emphasized that Hisar Airport will help establish Hisar as an industrial hub. He described the airport as a new chapter in Haryana’s development, connecting the state more effectively with the rest of the country and driving progress across multiple sectors.
