Shimla, March 19, 2025: Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has taken swift action after recent attacks on Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) buses in Punjab. CM Sukhu spoke with Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, who assured a safe environment for HRTC buses.
Addressing the Assembly, CM Sukhu highlighted the strong ties between the two states, calling Punjab an “elder brother.” He stated that further discussions will take place at the Director General of Police (DGP) level to improve coordination and security measures.
Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann has promised strict action against those involved in the stone-pelting incidents that caused unrest. CM Sukhu reaffirmed Himachal Pradesh’s commitment to maintaining peace and ensuring passenger safety. Both state governments are now working closely to prevent further incidents.
