Rajiv Sharma :- A helicopter operated by Air Dynasty met with an accident in Nepal’s Khotang district on Wednesday morning while attempting to land, triggering panic in the area. The incident occurred around 11:51 am when the aircraft was descending into a field and reportedly lost stability.
According to officials, the helicopter had taken off from Kathmandu and was transporting a dead body to Khotang. During the landing process, it crashed in farmland under circumstances that are still being examined.
The aircraft was carrying five individuals, including pilot Sabin Thapa. While one passenger sustained injuries in the crash, the pilot and the remaining occupants were reported to be safe.
Rescue efforts were initiated promptly, with the company dispatching another helicopter to evacuate the injured passenger and assist at the site.
Preliminary findings suggest that strong winds or reduced visibility due to dust during landing may have contributed to the mishap. Authorities have launched a detailed investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
