Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao announces ₹20 lakh development grant for Khatiwas and Kheri villages

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana’s Minister for Health, Medical Education, and AYUSH, Aarti Singh Rao, visited the village of Khatiwas in Jhajjar on Saturday, April 4, 2026, to engage in a direct dialogue with local residents. During the felicitation ceremony, the Minister emphasized her deep-rooted familial ties with the villages of Kheri and Khatiwas, noting that the support from these communities has been instrumental throughout her political journey. To mark the occasion and bolster local infrastructure, she announced a development grant of ₹10 lakh each for both villages.

The Health Minister assured the gathered residents that the majority of the demands presented by the village panchayats in their memorandum would be fulfilled promptly. She specifically highlighted that the ongoing pipeline work for water drainage would be expedited to prevent seasonal waterlogging issues. Having been appointed as the minister-in-charge for the region, she encouraged citizens to approach her freely with any public interest matters, reaffirming her commitment to the holistic growth of these rural pockets.

Strengthening health infrastructure in rural Haryana:

Minister Aarti Singh Rao detailed the state government’s aggressive push to modernize healthcare facilities across all public hospitals. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, the government has ensured the installation of advanced diagnostic machinery, including X-ray, ultrasound, CT scan, and MRI units, alongside specialized expert staff. She noted that the Ayushman Bharat scheme continues to provide significant relief to the underprivileged, ensuring that high-quality medical care is no longer restricted to urban centers.

The Minister reiterated that the government’s priority is to guarantee the timely availability of medicines and professional healthcare services in rural areas. Various state-sponsored health schemes are currently being implemented to strengthen the medical network, ensuring that every citizen has access to affordable treatment. The event concluded with the Minister thanking the residents for their long-standing trust and promising that no stone would be left unturned in making Kheri and Khatiwas model villages for development.
