Chandigarh, October 4: The Haryana government has transferred ₹543.66 crore directly into the bank accounts of farmers under the ongoing Kharif procurement season 2025–26, ensuring prompt payment at the Minimum Support Price (MSP).
According to the Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Department, paddy procurement in the state is being conducted through the Meri Fasal Mera Byora portal. So far, paddy has been procured from 63,356 registered farmers across Haryana.
A departmental spokesperson stated that a total of 8,92,943.07 metric tonnes of paddy has arrived in the state’s mandis so far. Out of this, 7,20,025.68 metric tonnes have been purchased, while 3,10,821.24 metric tonnes have already been lifted from the mandis.
The spokesperson further informed that the Food and Civil Supplies Department has made the highest procurement this season, purchasing 4,25,680.39 metric tonnes of paddy. The HAFED (Haryana State Co-operative Supply and Marketing Federation) has procured 2,09,796.67 metric tonnes, and the Haryana State Warehousing Corporation has procured 84,548.61 metric tonnes.
Paddy procurement operations are being jointly carried out by the Food and Civil Supplies Department, HAFED, and the Haryana State Warehousing Corporation. The state government has ensured strong arrangements for smooth procurement and accelerated lifting processes across all mandis and procurement centers.
Farmers have been urged to bring their produce to the mandis only after properly drying and cleaning it, following the standards set by the Government of India including maintaining the prescribed 17% moisture limit.
The spokesperson reaffirmed that the government remains committed to facilitating a transparent and efficient procurement system to protect the interests of farmers.
