Haryana to Resonate with ‘Vande Mataram’ on November 7: CM Saini Directs Officials for Grand Celebration

Chandigarh, November 5 — Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has directed officials to ensure a grand and dignified celebration on November 7, 2025, marking the 150th anniversary of the iconic national song “Vande Mataram.” As per Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directive, the entire nation will sing Vande Mataram in unison at 10 a.m. on that day, and Haryana will actively participate in the nationwide event.

The Chief Minister presided over a review meeting from the Chandigarh Secretariat with senior officers and all district deputy commissioners through video conferencing to finalize arrangements for the celebration.

CM Saini announced that the program will be organized at the division, district, sub-division, and block levels. Members of the Cabinet, Parliament, and State Assembly will attend the events as chief guests. The Vande Mataram group singing will also be held across all government and private schools, colleges, and universities in the state. The Directorate of Education has been instructed to immediately inform all heads of institutions and ensure the participation of students along with their parents.

Saini also directed that the Vande Mataram song be played on LED screens at major public locations across the state in the evening.

During the meeting, Director General of Information, Public Relations, Languages, Art and Culture Department, K. Makarand Pandurang, informed the Chief Minister that the celebration will continue for a full year from November 7, 2025, to November 7, 2026 divided into four phases. The first phase will run from November 7 to 14, 2025, with the inaugural ceremony in Ambala, where CM Saini will be the chief guest. The second phase will take place from January 19 to 26, 2026; the third from August 7 to 15, 2026 linked with the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign; and the final phase from November 1 to 7, 2026.

Pandurang also revealed that the Government of India has launched a special platform vandemataram@150.in where individuals can upload their own renditions of the song after the mass singing event. The best entries will receive official recognition and awards.

The meeting was also attended by Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, Principal Secretary to CM Arun Gupta, and other senior officials from various departments.
