Haryana to Launch Vridh Seva Evam Swasthya Portal for Elderly Care and SanYog Initiative for Patients

Chandigarh (Balwinder Singh): Haryana Health, Medical Education, Research, and Ayush Minister Aarti Singh Rao announced that the state government will soon launch two major welfare initiatives aimed at providing accessible and holistic healthcare facilities to its citizens, with a particular focus on senior citizens. The minister emphasized the provincial administration’s commitment to improving the quality of life for the elderly and ensuring seamless medical support across the state.

Under the new directives, specialized health camps will be organized every Thursday across all Ayush-managed Ayushman Arogya Mandirs in Haryana to support senior citizens. To ensure transparent monitoring and efficient data management of these weekly camps, the government has developed the “Vridh Seva Evam Swasthya” web portal, which is scheduled for an official launch shortly. The portal will track the healthcare delivery process to ensure maximum coverage and quality treatment for the elderly population.

In addition to geriatric care, the health department is introducing an innovative wellness program called “SanJeevani Yoga” (SanYog) to create a preventive and holistic medical environment at state facilities. Under this initiative, Ayush doctors and yoga instructors will conduct sessions on yogic principles, pranayama, and healthy lifestyle practices in the outpatient department (OPD) waiting areas of district hospitals, community health centres (CHCs), and primary health centres (PHCs) for both patients and their caregivers.

The program will also extend into inpatient department (IPD) wards, where admitted patients will receive customized yoga therapy and lifestyle counselling based on the direct recommendations of their treating medical officers. Minister Aarti Singh Rao stated that all logistical preparations for both projects have been finalized, and the integration of traditional yoga with modern medicine is expected to serve as a milestone in building a healthier state.
