Chandigarh, June 9 – Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has announced that the state government will take a final decision on the formation of new districts as soon as the committee constituted for the purpose submits its report. He confirmed that the proposals received are under serious consideration.
Addressing media persons at Maharaja Agrasen Airport in Hisar during the launch of a new flight service from Hisar to Chandigarh, CM Saini emphasized that the government’s move regarding district reorganization is procedural and based on due diligence.
Speaking on national security, the Chief Minister said that India today responds firmly to terrorism. Referring to the Uri, Pulwama, and Pahalgam attacks, he cited the surgical and air strikes carried out under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership as examples of India’s proactive and decisive stance against terror, which has boosted public confidence.
When asked about the ongoing caste-based survey, he clarified that the process is progressing smoothly and there are no hurdles; everything is being done as per the laid-down system.
Responding to concerns over flight diversions from Ayodhya to Delhi, he explained that such decisions are made by pilots and aviation authorities, prioritizing passenger safety during adverse weather conditions.
On a political note, CM Saini ridiculed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks during his Haryana visit. He sarcastically remarked that “only lame horses are left in Congress now,” comparing the party’s leadership to wedding horses, racehorses, and limping horses – a jab at Congress’s declining political relevance and leadership vacuum. He asserted that despite ruling the country for 55 years, the Congress failed to deliver for the people.
