Chandigarh, October 7, 2025: Haryana has made a remarkable global impression by blending its rich culture, heritage, and modern development through Virtual Reality at the ongoing World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan. The Haryana Pavilion, set up within the Bharat Mandapam, has become a major attraction for visitors from Japan and across the world, celebrating the spirit of “Developed Haryana” and “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam.”
Led by Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, a high-level delegation from Haryana, including Industry and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Chief Principal Secretary Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary Arun Kumar Gupta, and senior officials, inaugurated the pavilion on Tuesday. The delegation is on an official visit to Japan to promote global industrial collaboration and investment in Haryana.
Upon arrival, the Chief Minister and other dignitaries were welcomed with traditional Haryanvi attire, folk music, and instruments, showcasing the state’s deep-rooted cultural vibrancy.
The pavilion has become a technological and cultural marvel with Virtual Reality (VR) bringing Haryana’s rural life, heritage sites, industrial growth, and development journey to life. Visitors from Japan are virtually touring historical and archaeological landmarks of Haryana, experiencing its diversity and grandeur through immersive digital displays.
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, while writing in the visitor’s book, expressed pride in seeing India’s growth and potential represented so beautifully at the Expo. He stated that the exhibition embodies the vision of a developed and innovative India, and Haryana remains fully committed to contributing to this national mission.
The Haryana Pavilion is also captivating international audiences with its vibrant display of traditional costumes, handicrafts, folk dances, pottery, and music. Japanese visitors were seen joyfully wearing Haryanvi attire, participating in photo sessions, and dancing to folk tunes like Ghoomar and Phag. The hospitality and warmth extended at the pavilion reflect Haryana’s timeless ethos of Atithi Devo Bhava.
Visitors praised the deep sense of affection and openness evident in Haryana’s culture, calling it the true spirit of India.
The Haryana Pavilion stands today as a powerful symbol of India’s cultural richness, technological progress, and self-reliance, perfectly aligning with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” and Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s mission of “Viksit Haryana.”
