Haryana Sahitya and Culture Academy Organises Speech Competition and Scholarly Seminar on Swami Vivekananda Jayanti

Chandigarh, January 19: The Haryana Sahitya and Culture Academy, Panchkula, through its Sanskrit Wing, organised a grand Sanskrit speech competition and an intellectual seminar on the occasion of Swami Vivekananda Jayanti at the Maharaja Dahir Sen Auditorium in the Academy building on Sunday. The event featured insightful discussions on significant themes such as education, culture, and the role of youth in nation-building.

Addressing the gathering, Academy’s Executive Vice Chairman Dr. Kuldeep Chand Agnihotri explained the concept of connect and connection in simple terms, drawing inspiration from the ideals of Swami Vivekananda. He urged the youth to establish strong and meaningful engagement with society by imbibing the values and teachings of the great thinker.

At the conclusion of the scholarly seminar, Dr. Chitranjan Dayal Singh Kaushal, Director of the Sanskrit Wing, expressed gratitude to all the guests and participants. He emphasized the need to internalize Swami Vivekananda’s life philosophy and ideals in contemporary times.

Renowned scholars Prof. R.K. Deswal, Dr. Ramchandra, Dr. Ashutosh Angiras, and Dr. Jitendra Arya participated as key speakers in the programme. In the speech competition, Mahesh Sharma secured the first prize, Atul Sharma won the second prize, and Vaibhav Sharma was awarded the third prize. Mandeep Kaur received a consolation prize for her commendable performance.
