Chandigarh, October 19: Haryana’s Minister of Social Justice and Empowerment, Krishan Kumar Bedi, extended warm greetings to all citizens, especially members of the weaker sections, Scheduled Castes, Backward Classes, and senior citizens, on the auspicious occasions of Diwali, Govardhan Puja, Vishwakarma Day, and Bhai Dooj.
In his message, Bedi said that Diwali symbolizes light, prosperity, and happiness, inspiring people to strengthen bonds of love, cooperation, and harmony. Govardhan Puja, he noted, reminds humanity of its reverence for nature and the importance of environmental protection. Vishwakarma Day, he added, is a moment to honor the relentless efforts of artisans and workers, while Bhai Dooj celebrates the sacred and unbreakable bond between brothers and sisters, forming the social fabric of Indian society.
Reaffirming the state government’s commitment to social justice and inclusive development, the minister said that Haryana’s welfare schemes are improving the lives of millions of beneficiaries, making the festive celebrations even more meaningful.
Bedi appealed to citizens to celebrate the festivals responsibly and sustainably by minimizing the use of firecrackers and preserving harmony in society. He emphasized that these festivals offer an opportunity to take new pledges for unity, social goodwill, and progress.
He concluded by wishing every resident of Haryana good health, happiness, and prosperity.
