Chandigarh, October 29, 2025 — The Haryana government has introduced a new mobile application, Kapas Kisan, to ensure that cotton-growing farmers receive the full Minimum Support Price (MSP) for their produce during the 2025–26 season.
Developed by the Cotton Corporation of India Limited (CCI), a Government of India enterprise, the app allows farmers to conveniently sell their cotton after verifying crop details already submitted on the Meri Fasal Mera Byora (MFMB) portal. The Kapas Kisan app is now available for download on both the Google Play Store and Apple iOS.
An official spokesperson said that all registered cotton farmers in Haryana should download the app and log in using the OTP sent to their mobile number linked with the MFMB portal. Once logged in, farmers must verify the details of their cotton-sown land as reflected in the MFMB-verified land records.
After successful verification, farmers can easily book a slot at their nearest CCI purchase center to sell cotton under the MSP scheme. This initiative aims to streamline the procurement process and ensure that farmers directly benefit from the government’s price support system.
The spokesperson also advised farmers to bring only properly dried cotton, maintaining a moisture level of 12 percent or less, to qualify for the full MSP. The CCI has assured that it will procure cotton of Fair Average Quality (FAQ) grade at the declared Minimum Support Price, guaranteeing farmers fair returns for their produce.
