Haryana-Japan Partnership to Boost State’s Growth and Employment Opportunities

Chandigarh, October 6 — Under the vision of “Viksit Bharat–Viksit Haryana” (Developed India–Developed Haryana), Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini’s delegation achieved remarkable success on the first day of its Japan visit. The delegation signed six Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with leading Japanese companies, paving the way for an investment of ₹1,185 crore in Haryana and generating over 13,000 employment opportunities for the youth.

The delegation included Haryana’s Industries and Commerce Minister Rao Narbir Singh, Chief Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Arun Kumar Gupta, Commissioner and Secretary of the Department of Foreign Cooperation Amneet P. Kumar, Commissioner and Secretary of the Industries and Commerce Department Dr. Amit Kumar Agrawal, Managing Director of HSIIDC Dr. Yash Garg, and other senior officials.

To attract Japanese investments to Haryana, the Chief Minister held meetings with top companies such as Aisin, Air Water, TASI, Nambu, Denso, Sojitz, Nissin, Kawakin, and Toppan. As a result, six MoUs worth ₹1,185 crore were signed, opening doors for significant job creation and industrial growth in the state.

During the meetings, Chief Minister Saini emphasized strengthening bilateral cooperation between Haryana and Japan. He suggested enhancing partnerships between small and medium enterprises (SMEs) of both regions. Highlighting the immense potential in Haryana’s equipment manufacturing, industrial components, metalworking, automotive, and electronics sectors, he said collaboration with Japan could greatly benefit trade and industrial development.
