Chandigarh, September 1 – The Haryana government has directed all field officers to remain at their headquarters and maintain strict vigilance until September 5 following a heavy rainfall warning.
Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi, in a letter to all Divisional Commissioners, Range IGPs, ADGPs, Deputy Commissioners, Superintendents of Police, and Sub-Divisional Magistrates, said the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted heavy rain in several parts of the state in the coming days, raising fears of localized flooding.
He further instructed that during this period, no officer should be granted leave without prior approval from either the Chief Secretary or the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department.
